Active Streets: Mission at Twilight

The streets are open for us to wander and be active in the SGV on Sunday, June 22! Join me for the Active Streets event to explore some of the SGV on foot.

"Save the date and join us for a magical evening of active fun under the stars as we celebrate the summer solstice on Sunday, June 22, 2025 from 3 PM to 8 PM. This 5-mile open streets event, hosted by SGVCOG and presented by Metro, will transform the streets of Alhambra, San Gabriel, and South Pasadena into a vibrant public playground for walking, biking, skating, and more!"

I plan to take the A line metro train to the South Pasadena station. We will meet at the South Pasadena Historical Museum at 5:30 and walk our way through Alhambra to San Gabriel. There will be little hubs or entertainment pockets along the way to enjoy. If we make it to the end, we have to either walk back to where our transportation is or try to catch a rideshare or public transportation. Everyone is free to break away or stop when they have had enough, but I do ask that you sign up on Meetup only if you plan to join us at the start time with the intention of doing the event with the group. You don't need to RSVP here if you are planning to enjoy it on your own, right? We are meant to Meet Up!

This event is for those with good stamina and mobility. I plan on walking, not cycling. I am a relatively fast walker, but the crowds may slow me down. You are responsible for your own health and safety.
