🍜 Hainan Chicken, Noodles at Nandao 🍜

This time we’re heading to Nandao Rice & Noodle, a newer Monterey Park spot specializing in Singaporean-style Hainan chicken rice, noodles, wontons and a few things that sound suspiciously like we’re going to order way too much food.

Their Hainan chicken rice is the headliner: tender poached chicken, savory rice and three sauces that give you plenty of opportunity to pretend you know exactly which combination is correct. The braised beef noodle soup, spicy pork-and-shrimp wontons and chicken lime cold noodles have also been getting a lot of attention. The LA Times recently went so far as to call Nandao one of its favorite SGV spots right now. Los Angeles Times

Yelp diners have been praising the tender Hainan and soy-sauce chicken, flavorful rice, friendly service and seasoning, which is usually a much better sign than a restaurant describing its own food as "mouthwatering." Roadtrippers

So come hungry. Order something you've never tried, steal recommendations from the person next to you, and meet some new people over bowls of carbs and meat. Basically civilization at its finest.
