An Intro to Designing with Futures

What kind of world are we designing for?

Workplace guidelines are asking us to become “AI-native,” autonomous vehicles are arriving in our cities, delivery robots are navigating our sidewalks. The world doesn’t look like it did 20, 10, or even five years ago, and the experiences we’re designing are lagging behind. As change accelerates, how do technology, culture, and human behavior reshape the methods needed to build with intention?

Join us on July 27 for An Intro to Designing with Futures, a guided, hands-on workshop on design fiction and worldbuilding. Through studio discussion, collaboration, and design, participants will work in small teams to imagine future contexts, creating artifacts from the worlds they build.

Created and led by Brandon Harwood, designer, strategist, and founder of quietloudlab. His work blends human-AI interaction, speculative design, and future-centered methods to help teams ask better questions.
