After a long wait, we're going to have our first Japanese Karaoke session this 2017. We got a bunch of new karaoke equipment so for this session so we rented out a small venue to play with them (and hope they don't break).

The session will be held at The Open Space, Jupiter St. Makati (right beside Centerstage KTV), on July 15, Saturday, from 2PM to 10PM. We adjusted the schedule from the previous 6PM-12MN to allow for those who can't come in the evening.

Entrance fee is P100. This contribution will go to the snacks and drinks, and help pay for the venue. Please RSVP so we can estimate how many seats we need to setup and snacks we need to prepare.

How to get to The Open Space

From Buendia MRT Station, take a jeep to Makati Avenue (Petron, Pacific Star Building). The street behind Petron is Jupiter St.; follow that road to the venue.

Some additional stuff

• Prepare a list of songs that you'd like to sing before going to the event. There are only a limited number of song books and you might not have many opportunities to browse them. Please refer to this guide (https://gist.github.com/bryanbibat/3d7792b2a47c1911c6157facf00cfc79) on how to search for songs.

• On-screen lyrics are in Japanese with furigana. Even if you have some skill in reading Japanese, it would be best to bring your own lyrics, either as a print out or saved in your phone. We will be testing out some ways to show romanized lyrics on screen at the same time, though.

• We won't be providing Wifi, but we'll provide a few sockets for charging phones and laptops.

• Apart from the provided snacks, there are also nearby fast food restaurants like KFC and McDonald's, and you can bring your own food to the venue.

• There's limited parking at the back of the venue. Parking rate is 35 for first 2 hours and 10 pesos for every succeeding hour.
