J-Kuru is a warm, casual evening meetup where people who want to learn Japanese and English can relax, chat, and make friends. All levels are welcome — beginners, intermediate, or advanced — and everyone is welcome, whether you're Japanese or from anywhere else in the world 💛
We now meet at a cozy café in downtown Chicago. Grab a drink if you feel like it, pull up a chair, and enjoy real conversations — language learning happens naturally along the way. No classrooms, no pressure. Just good company and good vibes 🎶

1. To keep J-Kuru comfortable and fun for everyone:
Let conversations flow: Please don't cut into someone's story — save your questions for a natural pause. Members are always happy to help!
2. This is a social meetup, not a language class:
Enjoy free conversation — please don't ask members for structured lessons or tutoring.
3. Be mindful of scents:
We gather in cozy indoor spaces, so please go easy on strong perfumes and be considerate of personal hygiene — for everyone's comfort.
4. Respect each other:
Harassment or unkind behavior of any kind is not tolerated.

J-Kuruは、日本語と英語を気軽に学びたい人のための、あたたかくカジュアルな夜の交流会です。初心者・中級者・上級者、レベルは問いません。日本人の方も、日本に興味のある外国の方も、誰でも大歓迎です 💛
開催場所はシカゴのダウンタウンにある落ち着いたカフェに変わりました。飲み物を片手に、リラックスしながら自然な会話を楽しみましょう。堅苦しい教室ではなく、友達とおしゃべりする感覚で、言葉が自然に身についていきます 🎶

みんなが心地よく過ごせるために:
1. 会話を大切に:
話の途中で割り込まず、質問は会話の区切りで聞いてくださいね。メンバーはみんな喜んで答えてくれます!
2. レッスン場ではなく、交流会です:
自由な会話を楽しんでください。メンバーへの体系的なレッスンや授業の依頼はご遠慮ください
3. 香りへの配慮:
落ち着いた屋内スペースで集まるので、強い香水は控えめに、お互い清潔を心がけましょう
4. 尊重し合いましょう:
ハラスメントや嫌がらせは一切許されません
5. カフェに恩返し :
お店をお借りしての開催なので、参加の際はドリンクか軽食を注文してね。小さな注文の積み重ねが、私たちの居場所を守ってくれます!
