About our speaker sessions:
Richard Startin works as a Senior Software Engineer at Datadog, focusing on continuous profiling for Java services. The talk will cover how sampling profilers work, and how we correlate samples with traces to produce detailed explanations of request latency.
Emily Middleton has been writing Java in Oxford for over 15 years, across financial reporting, payments systems, and eCommerce. She is now a Senior Software Engineer at Tripadvisor working on the bookings platform of Viator, their experiences and attractions business. The talk will cover some of the frameworks available for working with relational databases in Java, and tips to streamline your data handling.
