About our speaker sessions:
Now back in fashion, a modular monolith breaks up into smaller components, each being a well-defined "vertical" slice of business functionality. Horizontal concerns (presentation, persistence) are handled within each slice.
In this talk, Dan Haywood will introduce you to Apache Causeway, a Spring-Boot based framework which takes modularity to the next level by taking care of those horizontal concerns for you, leaving you to focus just on the core domain. And then, its programming model lets you decouple the remaining business-oriented modules that make the core of your app.
Dan is an independent consultant specialising in effective software development. He is a committer to Apache Causeway, and an ASF member
Daniel Butler is an Oxford local, with interests that have converged largely on programming/development. This is a talk about some tech/features developed over recent years in a bespoke desktop 3D molecular viewer in Java.
*Please note, the nearest parking is The Westgate Shopping Centre Car Park*
This event is organised by Humand Talent and supported by the Business and IP Centre Oxfordshire.
