Small World connects people to Japan’s vibrant social scene. Since 2018, we’ve been hosting meetups, social events, and parties in Nagoya and Tokyo, bringing together internationals and Japanese locals in a fun, welcoming environment. Whether you’re new to Japan or have been here for years, our events are designed to help you meet people, make friends, and feel part of an international community.
Small World は日本の活気ある交流シーンと人をつなぐコミュニティ。2018年から名古屋と東京でミートアップや交流イベント、パーティーを開催し、外国人と日本人が楽しく、安心して交流できる場をつくってきました。英語を練習したい方から外国人と友達になりたい方まで。Small Worldのイベントは、新しい出会いを見つけ、友達をつくり、国際的なコミュニティの一員だと感じられる場を提供しています。

【Our main events】
The International Party
Our flagship event since 2018. From house parties to rooftop dance floors, these parties bring together international-minded people who love music, conversation and good vibes. Recent International Rooftop Parties have attracted thousands of attendees from across Japan.
インターナショナルパーティー
2018年から続く、フラッグシップイベント。ハウスパーティーからルーフトップでのダンスフロアまで、音楽や会話、そして心地よい雰囲気を愛する国際志向の人々が集まるパーティー。近年開催中のルーフトップパーティーでは、日本全国から数千人の方に参加いただいています。

Chatterbox Language Exchange
A relaxed and friendly way to practice English and Japanese. We switch languages every 10 minutes, and you can join tables based on topics you’re interested in. No pressure, no textbooks, just real conversations and real connections. New to Japan? This is a great place to make friends.

リラックスした雰囲気で、気軽に英語と日本語で交流できるイベント。10分ごとに言語を切り替え、興味のあるトピックのテーブルに自由に参加できます。英会話教室とは違って教科書なし、あるのはリアルな会話と人とのつながりのみ。英語を練習して海外の友達を作りたい方にぴったりなイベント！

REGISTER HERE!Small World’s official language exchange, Chatterbox is one of the biggest language exchange events in Nagoya and known for its well-organised structure! Attendees are from all over the world, and they're all here to practice their language skills, make new friends, share their knowledge and get inspired by some talented people living in Nagoya.

NEW CONNECTIONS
Chatterbox is designed to guarantee that you have at least one conversation with every participant. Through a range of activities, you’ll meet multiple people in one-on-one conversations and in groups of varying sizes throughout the event.MORE FREEDOM
We won’t assign seats or groups — you’ll have the freedom to choose who you talk to based on who you click with, while regularly mixing things up so you get multiple chances to connect with different people. We also use “Conversation Zone” topic cards, so you can join a table based on what interests you. Talking with people who share your interests is one of the easiest ways to improve your language skills.BEGINNER FRIENDLY
We switch between Japanese and English every 10 minutes, so no one gets left behind. Even if you’re a complete beginner, you’ll have moments where you can take the lead in your native language. And if you don’t know how to say something, just ask the people around you — helping each other is part of the experience.-----------------------------------

Bring someone who hasn’t attended Chatterbox before to participate for FREE! Simply bring your guest to the Registration Desk at the start of the event. Small Worldオリジナル言語交換会「Chatterbox」は名古屋最大級の言語交流会でプログラム構成がしっかりしていることで知られている大好評イベント！参加者は世界中から集まり、語学を実践しながら新しい友達を作ったり、知識をシェアしたり、多様なバックグラウンドを持つ人たちからたくさんの刺激を受けられます！

NEW CONNECTIONS
全員の参加者と少なくとも1回は会話ができます！幅広いアクティビティーを通して数多くの人と1対1、もしくは複数人のグループでの会話を楽しむことができます。MORE FREEDOM
席やグループは指定しないので、自分の中でピンと来た相手と話せて、かつ定期的にメンバーを入れ替えるので色んな人と繋がることができます！さらに"Conversation Zone"というトピックカードをテーブルに置いておくので、自分の興味のあるトピックのテーブルに参加可能。同じ趣味のある人と話すのが英語力アップの近道！BEGINNER FRIENDLY
