Ultimate frisbee is great for everyone because even with walking you will be "open" and get thrown the frisbee during the game. If you’re feeling nervous or unsure, that’s totally normal, and you’ll fit right in. Simply bring a refillable water bottle of some sort and come exactly as you are :) Also, you may want to bring a lawn chair to sit down during our water/rest breaks. With the original post I wasn't sure how many participants we would have. Yet, I now know we will have a solid 10+ people at a minimum (I have some people coming who are not on Meetup). This will be perfect for us to have a nice small game of ultimate frisbee! General Set-Up Volunteers play a vital role in preparing competition venues for Special Olympics events. This role supports a wide variety of sports and playing surfaces, including courts, fields, and indoor or outdoor facilities. We will be unloading trucks, setting up tents, tables, chairs and more. This will help ensure the venue is safe, organized, and ready for athletes, coaches, officials, and spectators. Volunteers should be able to bend, kneel, stretch, and lift 10 lb boxes.
