Jack & Jill may (or may not) be over the hill but they didn't go up for water. They went OUT to meet new people, like them, not sit at home, on the phone or computer hoping that luck comes their way. This group is for those folks, single, who really want to interact and be in the presence and company of others. The real meaning of " to meet". Doing so online is NOT meeting.
So if you are starting anew, single, divorced, lonely or just want to get out and really meet people, then pick an event and join others who are looking to do the same. Isn't that what it's all about.
Tucson is a big town and we are all scattered about. We have different ideas for what we want to do and how. My hope for this group is to find those of you interested in hosting a meetup in your area. Let's start creating events. of different types, all over town so that everyone can take part. Most of us, me included, don't want to go far from home. So, if you have a venue and want to help grow this group and help others get out of the house and do something exciting, then please get in touch.
For those of you who want to attend any of these events, then please click the RSVP button and put on your best "get out" attire on and head on over. And while on the topic of over, you do not need to be over the hill to join. I just thought it was a catchy name. And being over the hill myself I thought it might just work.
Now to start things off, I will be setting up some events. I live in the Grant and Silverbell area so that is where we will start. With all hope, we can grow this group not so much in the number, but, in the success of our goal.
And as for Jack and Jill, Jack has had a few falls and looking for a new Jill, but hasn't given up hope. Jill got married, got divorced and is now trying to find her Jack.

PLEASE READ: I am looking for Quality, not Quantity. I have updated the questions and added some additional clarity. I changed the sign up from open to request. I have also added a new criteria to try to limit this membership to those who really want to get something out of it.
If I see that you are a member of many or more Meetup Groups, I am going to raise a red flag. Are you really going to be a participating member or just a number. If I see zero's, or very low numbers for your RSVP's and you been with Meetup for a while, then I can only assume the obvious. Unfortunately, this is far from 100% reliable. So, if you are not accepted and really want to join, then just send me a message requesting me to reconsider. I am also open for some advice as to how else make this work. My apologies, but something had to be done!
I guess this will be a work in progress as this group gets off the ground.
