The Five Points name hails from one specific and quirky little intersection that feeds into five streets within the larger Riverside historic district, and that's right where we're walking this month! There are some stop signs, an odd little traffic light, and people and cars literally coming at you from all angles, heading to and from one unique boutique, restaurant, or quintessential Riverside bungalow to another. Much like this intersection, Five Points is free-spirited, eclectic, and full of life. From the goods for sale to the food and drinks on the menus, its personality is unmistakeably quaint, artsy, and magnetic. It was once the commercial district for the residential neighborhoods of Riverside and Avondale, which were booming in the 1920s, but it has since evolved into a spunky pedestrian-friendly district in its own right.
