Flying Scot Sail

Details

In conjunction with our Party and Keel Boat Sail, Skipper Steve is hosting 2 guest sailors his Flying Scot. The Flying Scot is an American sailing dinghy with an active racing class for in Regattas. The Rudder Club uses Scot's as a teaching boat also in our adult sailing classes and regularly hosts club regattas for Scots.

All are welcome from complete newbies to experience sailors and to join the party after the sail.

For sailing, feel free to bring a small cooler with your beverage of choice. Skippers appreciate drinks and food to share. Dress in layers, wear sunscreen and only sneakers or nonskid shoes. (No heels) If you wear a hat, chose one with a strap or a cap you don't mind losing; they do get blown off at times.

We will meet at 12:30, get oriented, do a safety briefing and set sail about 1:00. We anticipate returning to the dock between 3:30-4:00 PM. The party after sailing has no set end time; all are welcome to hang out into the night for fun and socializing.

The club bar will be open from 12:00 - 7:00 PM. No outside alcohol is permitted on club grounds during bar hours. BYOB on boats is fine.

Looking forward to seeing everyone and meeting our new members!
