GREAT NEWS FOLKS! Pat Patten author of "Between War and Peace" will be speaking at this event to celebrate the launch of her powerful novel about America's First Woman Combat Veteran.

Patricia “Grandma Pat” Patten is a Navy veteran, writer, and debut novelist whose passion for uncovering untold stories drives her work.

At seventy-five, she has transformed decades of research and imagination into Between War and Peace, a sweeping historical novel that reimagines the Revolutionary War through the eyes of Deborah Sampson—the fearless woman who disguised herself as a man to fight in the Continental Army’s elite Ranger Special Forces unit.

Beyond the page, Pat sees her writing as a ministry—an invitation to explore faith, courage, and the resilience of the human spirit. A portion of proceeds from her book is dedicated to supporting female veteran organizations, including Hope4Veterans, raising awareness for women who have served and sacrificed.

When she’s not writing, Pat enjoys exploring new technology, cooking healthy meals, and playing board games. She lives in Jacksonville, Florida, where she continues to write, speak, and advocate for stories that remind us that courage knows no gender.
