MUSEUM MACAN - Visit to exhibition "Care" by Patrizia Piccinini with FREE tour

Details

Patricia Piccinini: CARE is a solo exhibition of globally recognized Australian artist Patricia Piccinini for the first time in Indonesia.

Curated by Tobias Berger, this large-scale survey exhibition will present over 40 life-size sculptures, three large video installations, along with Celestial Field (2021), a spectacular installation of thousands of flowers.

CARE is an exhibition addressing the universal feelings related to connection and intimacy which resonate with audiences from anywhere including Indonesia. Current global issues about ecology and its relations with biodiversity and biotechnology are also key ideas in this exhibition.

Through this exhibition, visitors are invited to see the hybridity of imaginary life forms, touching on the ongoing issues of endangered species in Indonesia.

Museum Macan is the "Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art of Nusantara", located in West Jakarta.

Let's have a social, cultural activity on Sunday afternoon with like-minded people. We will collect in front of the museum counter and buy tickets individually.

Jakarta Creatives is a group of people interested in all artforms who wish to connect informally. Everyone is always welcome to join.

After the museum visit we can go somewhere nearby and have a quick bite together.

This event is FOR FREE - and includes a FREE GUIDED TOUR kindly offered by MACAN Museum! Just pay the museum entrance yourself.

Please update RSVP at least by 10 am of the same day as a courtesy to the event organisers, the museum, and people in the waitlist. No shows will be kicked out of the group. Don't be late or you won't be able to join the guided tour anymore.
