Welcome to the Jakarta Social Meet Up Group. We're all on the lookout for good times and new friendships because, let's face it, humans are social creatures! Whether you have a few friends and want to expand your social circle or simply crave more connections, why not join our group?
Our goal is simple: we want to bring together anyone in Jakarta who's eager to make new friends while trying out new and fun activities at the same time.
Each event promises to be a unique experience! From park walks to bowling, language exchanges to day tips, there's something for everyone. The best part?
No specific skills are required for any of the activities — we're all about trying new things, having fun and being sociable.
Our meet-ups are typically be scheduled every week in and around Jakarta, lasting around two or three hours. We'll do our best to keep things centrally located for everyone's convenience.
The group is completely free! Any costs associated with activities will be paid directly to the respective companies or venues hosting the events.
In this group, your input and ideas are always encouraged. If some activities prove to be a hit, we'll gladly arrange them again. We're open to your suggestions because this group is all about creating enjoyable experiences together.
Here are the two main rules for the group to help keep the group vibrant:
Active participation is key. If you’re unable to attend events or engage occasionally, please consider whether this group is the right fit for you.
Kalau kamu merasa tidak sanggup untuk datang ke event-event atau berpartisipasi berkala waktu, mohon pertimbangkan untuk meninggalkan grup.
Be reliable. Confirmed no-shows will be removed to respect everyone's time and efforts.

Saturday Afternoon GBK Park Walk and Talk + Lucy in the Sky Dinner and Drinks
Entrance 7, GBK Park, Pintu 7, Gelora, Kecamatan Tanah Abang, Kota Jakarta Pusat, Daerah Khusus Ibukota, Jakarta, IDLet's escape the hustle and bustle of Jakarta with a late afternoon stroll through Senayan GBK Park and make some new friends along the way!
Senayan GBK Park is located in the heart of the city and is a nice place to visit and explore. Starting from Entrance 7 (Pintu 7), we will walk around and through the park and then over to Senayan Park Complex.
Afterwards, we'll go to Lucy in the Sky at Spark, located on the rooftop of Senyan Park Mall for some refreshing drinks and food. This last part is optional for people who want to go.
The walk will be a casual stroll around several connecting parks. The walk will take approximately 1:30 hours.
We will meet just outside Entrance 7 near the main road.
Please be on time, as once we start the walk it will be very difficult to locate us. However, we will post the live location on the WhatsApp Group chat.
This is a fun and social event, and everyone is encouraged to get to know each other and make new friends.

Welcome to our social co-working event where you can get some work done and make new friends at the same time, which is the way co-working should be.
The event is totally fee. We will be co-working at CROCO by Monsieur Spoon Teluk Betung, which is a lovely large cafe with great food and drinks and free Wi-Fi. We will work from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with a break for lunch for an hour around midday or 1 p.m. However, you can come and work at anytime that suits you.
There will be plenty of time make new connections and chat throughout the day, so come along and give it try.

Who's Invited?
Everyone is welcome! Whether you are new to Jakarta, a long-time resident, or just visiting, this is a fantastic opportunity to expand your social circle and learn about Indonesia's cultural richness.
What to Expect:
- Enjoy the beautiful park surroundings spanning over 250 acres.
- Discover unique artefacts, crafts, and cultural displays'
- Immerse yourself in the vibrant customs and arts of the archipelago.
- Explore traditional houses (anjungan rumah adat) from all 34 Indonesian provinces, special territories and autonomous regions including the famous Padang and Toraja Houses and the Indonesian Chinese pavilion including praying houses for all Indonesia's officially recognized religions.
- Komodo dragon exhibition and the Golden Conch (Keong Emas) Imax theatre.

How to get there:
For people using Grab or GoJek, type the destination Pusat Informasi TMII (That's the same as the shuttle point).
For LRT mode of transport, take the Blue CB Dukuh Atas - Harjamukti Line and disembark at St TMII, between Cawang and Kampung Rambutan. The St TMII LRT structure is at Travoy Hub mall. Go down and exit the front Main lobby. There will be a yellow TMII Shuttle Van and the ticket-check crew standing by situated near the mall's car exit. The Shuttle van journey takes about 6 minutes to reach the TMII Shuttle point.
