About us
Welcome to the Jakarta Social Meet Up Group. We're all on the lookout for good times and new friendships because, let's face it, humans are social creatures! Whether you have a few friends and want to expand your social circle or simply crave more connections, why not join our group?
Our goal is simple: we want to bring together anyone in Jakarta who's eager to make new friends while trying out new and fun activities at the same time.
Each event promises to be a unique experience! From park walks to bowling, language exchanges to day tips, there's something for everyone. The best part?
No specific skills are required for any of the activities â we're all about trying new things, having fun and being sociable.
Our meet-ups are typically be scheduled every week in and around Jakarta, lasting around two or three hours. We'll do our best to keep things centrally located for everyone's convenience.
The group is completely free! Any costs associated with activities will be paid directly to the respective companies or venues hosting the events.
In this group, your input and ideas are always encouraged. If some activities prove to be a hit, we'll gladly arrange them again. We're open to your suggestions because this group is all about creating enjoyable experiences together.
Here are the two main rules for the group to help keep the group vibrant:
Active participation is key. If youâre unable to attend events or engage occasionally, please consider whether this group is the right fit for you.
Kalau kamu merasa tidak sanggup untuk datang ke event-event atau berpartisipasi berkala waktu, mohon pertimbangkan untuk meninggalkan grup.
Be reliable. Confirmed no-shows will be removed to respect everyone's time and efforts.
Keandalan itu penting. Ketidakhadiran yang terkonfirmasi akan dihapus untuk menghormati waktu dan upaya semua orang.

Social Co-Working Event at CROC0 - Let's Make Your Work Day Fun!

Welcome to our social co-working event where you can get some work done and make new friends at the same time, which is the way co-working should be.
The event is totally fee. We will be co-working at CROCO by Monsieur Spoon Teluk Betung, which is a lovely large cafe with great food and drinks and free Wi-Fi. We will work from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with a break for lunch for an hour around midday or 1 p.m. However, you can come and work at anytime that suits you.
There will be plenty of time make new connections and chat throughout the day, so come along and give it try.
đ˘ IMPORTANT: Attendance Reconfirmation Required
To ensure accurate headcounts and reduce no-shows, we're implementing an updated reconfirmation system for all events.
Here's how it works:
- All events start with unlimited RSVPs.
- 4 days before each event, a reconfirmation form will be posted in the event comments and shared in the WhatsApp group.
- You must reconfirm ASAP by submitting the form. Your spot is guaranteed only after you reconfirm.
- The form closes once we reach the target attendance number.
- Anyone who hasnât reconfirmed when the form closes will be removed from the attendee list.
- If you canât attend, change your status to Not Going.
Twoâstrike rule: If you donât reconfirm or change your status to Not Going two times, you will be removed from the group.

Part 1: Museum Vibes (Afternoon)
The National Museum of Indonesia, fondly known as "Museum Gajah" (Elephant Museum), houses one of the world's most comprehensive collections of Indonesian artifacts. From ancient Hindu-Buddhist sculptures to traditional textiles and archaeological treasures, this meetup will transform your typical museum visit into an interactive cultural expedition.
Part 2: Garden Nights (Evening)
After exploring Indonesia's fascinating history, we'll transition to the charming ambiance of Melly's Garden for dinner, drinks, and continued conversation. This cozy garden restaurant offers the perfect setting to unwind, share stories from the museum, and enjoy Jakarta's evening atmosphere with your new friends.
This is a fun and social event, perfect for making new friends and connecting with the active and friendly Jakarta Social Community. Everyone is welcome!
