Akabokko Hiking 〜展望抜群！まっくろくろすけを探しに行く〜

Akabokko is the name of a 409-meter-high mountain in Ome City, Tokyo.
This trail takes you through Tengu-iwa Rocks and Akabokko which are known for the excellent view spot of Ome.

Because Wada-cho, Ome City, Tokyo, where this mountain is located, is related to the animated movie "My Neighbor Totoro,となりのトトロ" there are many stone "Makurokurosuke(dust bunnies),まっくろくろすけ" figures placed on the trail and at the top of the mountain.

Walking time : 5 hours 30 minutes (Slow pace includes break time)
Walking distance：approx. 12 km

• It is a easy hike even for beginners, but it is more than 10 kilometers. It is a good idea to have enough physical strength to walk up Mt.Takao.

Miyanohira Station→Tengu rock→Akabokko→Ome Station

Meeting point: JR Miyanohira Station JR宮ノ平駅served by the JR Ome Line.
Meeting time: 10:00
Participation fee: 1000 yen
