【2Days】🍁foliage and Kurikomayama hike/栗駒山の紅葉ハイク

Let’s go see foliage and hike Kurikomayama in Iwate prefecture!

Mt. Kurikoma is located in the center of the Tohoku region, where the borders of Miyagi, Iwate and Akita prefectures meet, and is selected as Kurikoma Quasi-National Park. The mountain is is a popular fall foliage destination and I’ve never visited yet.

On Day 1, we will meet at Ichinoseki station and drive to Hiraizumi which achieved UNESCO World Heritage Site status in 2011 and explore the area. We will also visit Geibikei Gorge.

On Day 2, we wake up early and drive to Kurikomayama and hike from Sukawa onsen trailheadad. The distances is about 12km (6.5hrs). Depending on the weather, we may take a shorter route. After the hike, we will stop by onsen near the starting point and head back to Ichinoseki station.

栗駒山は東北地方の中心、宮城県・岩手県・秋田県の県境に位置し、栗駒国定公園に指定されています。紅葉の名所として人気です。

1日目はJR 一ノ関駅で集合後、レンタカー車で平泉へ。2011年にユネスコ世界遺産に登録された平泉を散策した後は、猊鼻渓（げいびけい）にも足を伸ばします。

2日目は早朝に起床し、車で栗駒山へ。須川温泉登山口から登ります。距離は約12km（所要時間6.5時間）。天候次第では少し短いルートを取る可能性もあります。登山後は登山口近くの温泉に立ち寄り、一ノ関駅へ戻り、そこから東京に戻ります。

Meeting point: Ichinoseki station at 10:10 am (you can take Hayabusa #103)

Participation fee: 17,000 yen

Including:

• 1 night accommodation (single room)
• rental car (gas, parking, tall, etc)
• organizing and planning fee

Not including:

• transportation between your home and meeting point.
• meals and admission fee to any facilities
