This is a workshop about how you express yourself in front of others, using techniques from the performance arts.
Because in the end, are all performers: some of us find ourselves on stage playing drums, or teaching a class of freshmen, or having to lead the monthly reports meeting to our whole company… And all of us have to talk to strangers at some point. Such situations often bring questions such as “how did I look like”, “was my tone too aggressive?”, “did my hair do that weird thing it sometimes does?”. This is a workshop about that: about finding how people perceive us, which of our attributes make people love us (based on the way we express ourselves), and confidently leaning towards those attributes. It’s about vulnerability, non-verbal aspects of communication, and having a laugh – using theatre, comedy, music and dance to discover more about the way we relate with each other.

Taught by Daniel Matias Ferrer, the founder and director of Jam With Humans (a Dutch arts collective). Besides being a musician, they’ve also touched multiple other areas of stage performance, including theatre, dance, comedy and hosting.
