Dec. 3, 9 am: Charlie's Crossing dedication and a four mile hike

Charlie was tragically killed by a train August 27, 2016 on the railroad bridge we have so often crossed over on the trail west and upstream of Texas Beach.

James River Hiker and Charlie's mom Ellie Minasian combined with the James River Park staff and us in building "Charlie's Crossing" to provide for a safer passage and protect others from Charlie's fate.

This Meetup is a hike, a dedication of Charlie's Crossing and a memorial service for Charlie.

We'll meet at the Texas Beach parking lot at 9 am and hike almost a mile to the site for the service. Following that we'll continue upstream on the trail beside the river to Pump House Park and return to the starting place. It's about a 4 mile hike.
