October 9th@9am - 20 Mile Columbus Day Pocahontas March
Let's get together and enjoy nature and hike 20 miles at Pocahontas State Park.
As many may know some of us signed up for a 20 mile march at Pocahontas State Park but it was postponed due to weather conditions. We have decided while we wait for the reschedule date we will get on the trail and follow the 20 mile route that was being used for the hike.
Be sure to pack a lunch as we will be taking a break and having lunch at the picnic tables. Because this is where are cars are parked feel free to pack a cooler in your car and put your lunch and cold drinks in there. We will be able to get the stuff out of our cars prior to eating lunch.
Make sure you pack lots of snacks and water for the trail.
We will be meeting in the big parking lot before you drive down to the boat dock. It is the one by the bathroom and shelter. We will park on the side farthest from the pool and closest to the area you drive to go down to the boat dock.
Pocahontas state park has a $10 park entrance fee per car on the weekends if you do not have a state park pass.
