January 18, 10 am: Five Forks Battlefield 7+ Mile Hike

We'll be keeping a moderate pace (about 18-min miles) on this roughly 2-hr & 30 min.-loop hike through the Petersburg National Battlefield's Five Forks Unit in Dinwiddie, VA. This beautiful, mostly flat and wooded trail is peaceful (not a lot of people), yet easy/quick to reach off of I-85.

We'll meet inside the visitor center at 9840 Courthouse Road, Dinwiddie, VA 23841.

Dogs are welcome, but please keep them on a short leash and stay in the back of the group to avoid tripping others. Recommended things to bring: water, a great attitude, and a willingness to meet new people. I will most likely be walking with trekking poles; please feel free to bring yours if you'd like.
