Orange Circle Loop Trail at Rockwood Park is considered a moderate hike that covers 1.8 mi, with an elevation gain of 114 ft. It will take us about 1 hr to complete. Moderate trails often feature gradual climbs or obstacles like rocks or roots. The trail will take us past the pond.

This hike will be great for beginners or lazy folks who just want to get out for a bit.

HIKE DETAILS

Hike Pace: slow and easy---holler at me if you need to slow down! I tend to walk about 2.5 mph.
Dogs Allowed: Yes
What to bring: wear broken in hiking shoes or boots and layers appropriate for the cold; water, snacks, rain gear, ID, basic first aid supplies,
Cancellation: If weather becomes an issue, check event page comments for any updates for this event.
Attendance Limit: 25 hikers.
Park at the Nature Center. When you enter the park, traffic flows counter clockwise, the Nature Center will be on your right hand side. The Nature Center is closed for the winter so there are no restroom facilities at the Trailhead. (there are other restrooms in the park)
