Join me for a scenic 3.5 mile hike along the Swift Creek Reservoir
Hiking Route
CoOp Out & Back w/ Trooper Tribute Loop
Starting and ending at the trailhead just across the bridge from the boat launch, this out-and-back trail is scenic the entire way.
The trail is well marked with blazes and marker signs at trail intersections. This trail absolutely offers some of the best views in the park.
We will meet at boat ramp bridge and cross over the bridge to hike the co-op trail to Trooper Loop trail and back. This hike does have some mild elevation and tree roots and rocks to watch out for, but it is a relatively easy/moderate hike with lots of beautiful scenery and wildlife to view.
You are required to have a Virginia State Park pass or daily passes can be purchased for $10 per vehicle.
Parking is available in the boat ramp parking lot. Additional parking is available near restrooms which are located right before you reach boat ramp area.
