Come celebrate Wally’s birthday with us on Saturday, March 7th at Pocahontas State Park!
The forecast is calling for gorgeous weather in the 70s, making it the perfect excuse to get outside and enjoy a much-needed escape from the freezing cold we’ve been stuck in for months.
We’ll start the evening with a 4-mile hike beginning at 4:30 PM at a moderate to fast pace on the Co-op and Trooper’s Tribute Loop, followed by dinner at Swagat Indian Cuisine.
You’re welcome to join us for just the hike, just dinner, or both!

- Start Time: 4:30 PM (please arrive a few minutes early)
- Distance: 4 miles
- Pace: Moderate to fast
- Trails: Co-op & Trooper’s Tribute Loop
- Location: Pocahontas State Park
📍 Meeting Location
We will meet in the large parking lot before the road that goes down to the boat dock—the one near the bathrooms and shelter.
Please park on the side farthest from the pool and closest to the road that leads down to the boat dock.
🍽 Dinner After the Hike
We will head to Swagat Indian Cuisine 6423 Centralia Rd, Chesterfield, VA 23832 immediately following the hike.
Dinner will start at 6:30 PM.
💲 Park Entrance Fee
Pocahontas State Park charges a $7 entrance fee per car on weekdays and $10 per car on weekends if you do not have a Virginia State Park pass.
