Who's ready for the next meetup?

πŸ–₯ This time we'll do a Zoom call so everyone can participate and we get to network a bit :)

🌈 Get ready for a deep dive into the "A" in the JAMstack and to discover tools and services to power up your websites!

Anthony will show us a number of different open source projects and services that extend the capabilities of the JAMstack, and then Jaden will show us the power of the API Mesh and how we can get the best of all these amazing APIs that we have available in the JAMstack ecosystem today.

🎬 Talk 1: The JAMstack goes fullstack

⭐️ By Anthony Campolo
After studying music education and running a performing arts summer camp for four years, I decided to pivot and learn web development. I've worked extensively on Open Source projects and I'm now a Developer Advocate at StepZen. I am also the lead Developer Advocate on the RedwoodJS Core team where I contribute articles, podcasts, and presentations about the framework.

πŸ‘€ Talk overview:
Fullstack Jamstack brings backend capabilities to the Jamstack while taking the best aspects that we all know and love including atomic deploys, global distribution through CDNs, and decoupled sides.

In this talk we explore a number of different open source projects and services that extend the capabilities of the Jamstack by including tools like ORMs, API meshes, and authentication. We'll look at how these additions enable developers to more quickly build sites and applications that are secure, performant, and reliable.

🎬 Talk 2: The API Mesh: Revolutionizing the JAMstack

⭐️ By Jaden Baptista
Dev advocate at TakeShape and caffeine-powered Jamstack dev.

πŸ‘€ Talk overview:
We've made the J and M in Jamstack easy already, but APIs are kind of a sticky area. They're often inconsistent, even if they're trying to conform to a standard like REST, and documentation doesn't always clear that up.
Enter the API mesh! It's like a funnel for all your APIs: you pour them in one side and a single, neat, organized, self-documenting GraphQL endpoint comes out the other side. In this talk, Jaden will demo TakeShape's implementation of the API mesh concept and how it can help you be more productive and more satisfied with your development.
