Talk #1: Next.js, Vercel, and Jamstack: An educator’s perspective

Shu recently joined Vercel to improve Next.js’s official educational content. So far, he has overhauled the official Next.js tutorial and worked on official examples/documentation. But there’s a lot more to be done to make Next.js (and Jamstack) easier to learn and master. So in this talk, Shu will share some of the next steps he’s planning for improving the educational content for Next.js. He would love to get some feedback from the audience — the talk will in a sense be an "RFC" (request for comment)!

Bio: Shu Uesugi is a product engineer at Vercel focusing on documentation/education. He’s the author of the current official Next.js tutorial (https://nextjs.org/learn). He’s also an English-Japanese translator. Most recently, he co-translated “Factfulness” by Hans Rosling and others into Japanese, which became a bestseller in Japan.

Talk #2: Data-driven Jamstack with Sourcebit

Sourcebit is a new MIT-licensed project that can make it easy to connect your Jamstack site to data sources such as a headless CMS. We'll look at what it is, how to use it and how you can extend it with your own plugins.

Bio: Brian Rinaldi is a Developer Advocate at Stackbit. Brian is the editor of the Jamstacked newsletter, authored a report on Static Site Generators for O'Reilly and co-author of the Working with Static Sites book, also from O'Reilly.
