We're excited to have Phil Phil Hawksworth to talk about the Jamstack. He has championed the Jamstack from inception, has co-authored a book and was at Netlify advocating for this new architecture from the early beginnings. This time, Phil is going to discuss the evolution of the Jamstack, as it continues to mature and... evolve.

Don't they grow up fast? In the years since the term Jamstack was introduced, it has evolved. But does it still represent the same thing or has it morphed into something else entirely?
In this talk, Phil will explore some developments in this space, such as serverless functions and DPR. He'll outline the core principles at the heart of Jamstack, and describe how it is growing and is viable for more types of projects than he ever expected, all while staying true to those important principles.

GROQ (Graph-Relational Object Queries) is a declarative language designed to query collections of largely schema-less JSON documents. Lauren will introduce us to this proprietary language, future fit to optimize the response, potentially joining together information from several sets of documents, then stitching together a very specific response with only the exact fields you need.
