How to get involved with the WordPress project
Details
WordPress is a huge, open-source project that depends upon a worldwide community of users to keep it moving forward. While it is a software package, you don't need to be a developer or coder fluent in PHP, javascript, HTML, or CSS to contribute. There is a role for people of all talents and skill sets to be involved and help shape and support the project.
During this meetup we'll talk about the importance of giving back to WordPress through a variety of methods, very few of which require high-level coding or programming skills. We'll highlight ways that designers, marketers, writers, videographers, teachers, and those who are bilingual can get involved with WordPress.
Then, of course, there are things like WordCamps and Meetups (like this one) to help connect you to the WP community, as well as support and assistance roles that can be undertaken at the time and place of your choosing.
The virtual meeting room opens at 6:30PM, and we'll give people a few minutes to login and get comfortable before the presentation begins around 6:45PM.
There will be time after the presentation for Q&A and WordPress help/troubleshooting, if any attendee is in need of help.
