Ever wanted to try writing haiku, but didn’t know where to start?
In this friendly, hands-on workshop, you learn the basics of haiku
— a short form of Japanese poetry that captures a moment in just a few words.
You learn how to create your own haiku in English (or your preferred language),
inspired by nature and everyday life.
No experience needed! 🌸
We explore:
- 🌱 What haiku is and its cultural background
- 🖋 Simple tips for writing haiku
- 🌼 How to find inspiration around you
- 📢 Sharing and enjoying each other’s poems
By the end, you will have at least one original haiku!
Come and enjoy a relaxing hour of creativity, nature, and connection!

- 10+ years of haiku experience
- Grew up in Matsuyama, Japan — known as “The Capital of Haiku”
- Started writing haiku at age 6 as part of school life
