What we’re about

Japan–India Exchange: Academia • Industry • Culture • Travel
Welcome to the official Meetup for the Japan Education Center & Information Foundation (JECI) community — a hands-on forum for students, educators, academia & industry professionals, and Japan-curious travelers who want practical, long-term engagement between India and Japan.

This group brings together five pillars of activity:

What we do
• Academic collaboration & language learning — courses and exam prep (JLPT, JFT, EJU) and school/college programs that prepare students for study and careers connected to Japan.
• Industry linkages & skills — workplace-management training, Japanese-style quality processes (Kaizen/visual workplace), and programs aligned with Skill India / Make in India for employability.
• Seminars & events — expert talks, panel discussions and workshops led by Japanese and Indian academics, business leaders and cultural practitioners.
• Industry visits & student exchanges to Japan — structured study-and-visit programs and active-learning exchanges that build practical exposure and long-term partnerships.
• Culture & tourism — curated cultural experiences, film/music events, and guided visits that introduce participants to Japanese heritage, contemporary culture and responsible tourism.
• SSW (Study • Skill • Work) Pathways — Skill development programs aligned with industry requirements in Japan and India, Workshops on workplace management practices, Kaizen, and quality systems for employability, Career counseling and mentorship on job pathways in Japan, internships, and work-study models, Information sessions on immigration, job search support, résumé preparation, and cross-cultural workplace expectations — These SSW initiatives reinforce the core goal of empowering learners to transition smoothly from education → skill → employment, both domestically and internationally.
