Mt. Ena (恵那山 2,191m) Weekend Adventure –Camp+Hike | June 7th–8th

Update: Due to rain on Sunday, we will leave Tokyo on Friday evening and hike Mt.Ena on Saturday, 7th June.

Let’s escape Tokyo this weekend and head out for an overnight adventure to Mount Ena, one of the 100 famous mountains (Hyakumeizan) of Japan! We’ll drive out on Saturday (June 7th), camp near the trailhead, and hike to the summit on Sunday (June 8th) via the scenic Misaka Pass route.

This is a great opportunity to enjoy the peaceful forests, fresh mountain air, and stunning views from the top — on a clear day you can even spot Mount Fuji, Ontake, and the Central Alps!

### Plan Overview

• Saturday, June 7th:
  • Depart Tokyo in the morning
  • Drive to the Ena area (~4.5–5 hrs)
  • Set up camp near trailhead (tent or car camping)
  • Relax, enjoy the evening under the stars
• Sunday, June 8th:
  • Early morning start
  • Hike Mt. Ena via Misaka Pass (~11 km round trip, ~1,100m elevation gain)
  • Return to Tokyo by late evening

• Tent/sleeping bag (let me know if you need gear — I have spares)
• Hiking shoes
• Warm clothing + rain gear
• Water (2L min) + snacks/lunch
• Headlamp
• Cooking gear if you want to make a meal at camp
• Personal essentials (toiletries, sunscreen, power bank, etc.)
• Trash bag (leave no trace)

We’ll drive from Tokyo in a 5-seater car.
Expenses (gas + tolls) will be split equally.
Estimated cost per person: JPY8000 (depending on total headcount)
