📍 About the Hike:

Join me for a one-day hike up Mount Yotei (1,898m), a stunning volcano known as Ezo Fuji for its resemblance to Mt. Fuji. This is one of Japan’s 100 Famous Mountains (百名山) and offers breathtaking 360° views from the summit crater.

🗓️ Schedule:
• Aug 16 (Fri): Travel to the Yotei area (Niseko, Kutchan, or Makkari side)
• Aug 17 (Sat): Early morning start to hike Mt. Yotei
• Aug 17 evening: Return or stay overnight locally

🚶‍♂️ Hike Details:
• Trailhead: TBA (depending on group preference — Hirafu, Makkari, Kyogoku, or Kimobetsu trail)
• Distance/Elevation Gain: ~14–16km / ~1,600–1,700m gain
• Difficulty: Intermediate to advanced (long, steep ascent)
• Estimated Time: 8–10 hours round trip
• Start Time: Around 5:00–6:00 AM

We can carpool from Sapporo or nearby if enough people join. Let me know your location and whether you can drive or need a ride.

• Hiking boots
• Water (2–3L), food/lunch/snacks
• Rain gear, warm layers
• Trekking poles (highly recommended)
• Headlamp (in case of late descent)
• Onsen clothes (optional — great for post-hike recovery!)
