🌄 Day Hike: Mount Hotaka (Gunma) – 30th August 2025

Difficulty: 🔹 Moderate–Challenging (Steep sections, scrambling, chains)

Description:

Let’s escape the city for a full-day adventure to Mount Hotaka in Gunma!

We’ll be starting early from Shin-Kiba Station at 6:30 AM and returning the same day by car. Expect panoramic views, fresh mountain air, and a rewarding summit experience.

Itinerary (Approximate):

• 6:30 AM: Meet at Shin-Kiba Station, depart by car
• 9:00 AM: Arrive at Hotaka Shrine Trailhead
• 9:30 AM – 4:30 PM: Hike the loop trail to the summit and back
• 4:30 PM: Depart trailhead
• 7:00 PM: Arrive back at Shin-Kiba

What to Bring:
• Hiking boots & comfortable layered clothing
• Water (2L+) & high-energy snacks/lunch
• Hat, sunscreen, sunglasses
• Headlamp & basic first-aid kit
• Fully charged phone & portable charger

Car Info:

We’ll be using a 5-seater car and the cost to be split equally. Approx ¥7000
