Day hike to Mount Tanzawa via the Okura Trail, starting early morning by car from Tokyo and returning the same day.
This is a long and demanding winter hike, suitable only for experienced hikers who are comfortable with ~20 km hikes.

• Departure: Around 6:00 AM
• Meeting point: Flexible within Tokyo (will be finalized based on participants)
• Return: Same day, evening

• Mountain: Mount Tanzawa (丹沢山)
• Route: Okura Trail (大倉尾根) – out & back
• Distance: ~20 km
• Elevation Gain: ~1,600 m
• Time: 8–10 hours (including breaks)
• Difficulty: Hard – experienced hikers only

• Can maintain a steady pace
• Are prepared for winter mountain conditions

• Proper hiking boots
• Warm winter layers
• Wind / rain shell
• Headlamp
• Food + 1.5 –2L water minimum
• Microspikes (recommended depending on conditions)
• Fully charged phone + offline map
