What we’re about
Learn job-ready skills in a 2 months intensive React Front End Programming for free.
Things change, the virus is here to stay, and the international situation is degrading on many accounts.
But we still can find ways to learn and make things happen in maybe the only universe that starves for job candidates: the digital world.
Learning to code is tough.
Learning to code in a short and intensive way is even tougher.
But are there better jobs out there than in IT-related industries?
Being/living in Japan is a privilege, and at the same time an accomplishment... if we think about all the visa requirements, communication issues, a never-ending set of rules, and a fragile position as a foreigner.
So what can we do? We try to learn skills on our own and find ways to make a decent living with those skills that will allow us not only to get a well paying job but also to build side projects that could, fortunately, become our main source of living and personal and professional growth and wealth.
All this comes already at a personal commitment cost.
-So what if, we eliminate the tuition fee, and learn together in small teams?
-What if, I fight for you, and find ways without any promise though (some of us just can't code in a job-ready way), to get you this well-paying job opportunity?
-What if I organize the course and give you the tools to work on your future and help you then to fin a job in Japan?
I'm betting on us to figure out how to learn skills and make things happen in a demanding society.
My offer:
-Learn to code through a professional proven curriculum,
-Learn in small teams wherever you are,
-Learn tuition-free,
-Learn from anywhere you are in Japan in a completely distributed learning way.
First 3 batches of students: free tuition. I’ll use my network to help the finishing students to get a job but no promises of any kind. Ultimately, it depends on you to fulfill job descriptions adequately.
Then the training program will go from 500,000 yen after the first batches are completed, to 800,000 Yen then.

If one of these applies to your case, you probably could learn a lot from one of our study groups:
• You are a total (or a false) beginner and it's not easy to find people helping you to get on track without judging.
• You want to build but are not really ready to make a commitment for a full Bootcamp and you don't have the money anyway,
• You tried to learn to build Web applications but you failed or built things that look terrible or simply didn't work,
• You tried different online web courses but stopped early and never went back,
• You feel so lonely that it almost makes you throw your laptop throughout the window,
• You want to experiment with other ways of learning although you are an introvert,
• You love learning but you NEED to build stuff.
Again, the goal of this group is to learn all that is necessary to become an apprentice Web Developer (we call this: Front End development)...
...and.. later, maybe, MAYBE, a Full Stack Web Developer (Front End and Server Side [Back End]) developer).
-------------
We'll only need to find 4 people with a strong character to start with willing to take their knowledge to the next level.
I'll learn with you using peer learning and group facilitation techniques for cohesion and accountability.
Again, The goal is to learn all that is necessary to become an apprentice Front End developer, first.
We'll focus on the necessary foundations:
• HTML5 (the skeleton of a webpage)
• CSS3 (the beauty of it)
• Javascript (and its defined behavior) + React,
and it will take time.
Some conditions apply:
• You need to bring your own laptop (ideally Mac, I can't really help in the windows environment but it should be manageable),
• You need to bring your own Pocket WiFi or Tether with your phone (I'm sorry I have not installed WiFi, my pockets are not so deep),
• You need to commit to each session since if you miss more than one session, you won't be able to get back on track.
• There will be individual work (at home) and group work.
Again, I act as a facilitator, and tutor in some capacity only (I'll have help from an experienced dev). My goal is to make things happen to all of us so I'm not the nice and kind one.
We must expect resiliency, grit, and courage from each other in a Musketeer spirit. Going through the whole program is no joke.
Don't hesitate to contact me to find more.
I organize groups in all parts of Japan.
If you are interested to live and work in Japan and want to get ready, participating online can be arranged.
