Slow down, pick up a brush, and write a character that means something to you.
Shodō (書道), Japanese calligraphy, is a calming and expressive art that connects focus, balance and creativity. In this small, hands-on workshop, calligrapher Rena Huang (@inkbyrena) guides you through the basics: how to hold the brush, the first strokes, and how Japanese characters are built.
Then you choose one character that speaks to you, such as 愛 love, 夢 dream or 心 heart, and paint it on your own paper fan to take home.
No experience needed.
