This month, we will talk about animal-themed haiku.
Haiku poetry is often related to changes in seasons. Since Malaysia has summerlike temperatures all year long, it's okay to write haiku that doesn't reference seasons.
A haiku is a three-line poem with a 5, 7, 5 syllable structure. The first line has five syllables, the second line has seven, and the third line has five, for a total of 17 syllables. Traditional haiku often focus on nature, and they typically do not rhyme.
