Welcome to Ashburn’s Japanese Speaking Practice & Study Group!
A relaxed group for speaking, making friends, and staying consistent

This group is for Japanese learners who want more chances to use Japanese in a relaxed, low-pressure environment.

Whether you’re just getting started or have been studying for a while and struggle to actually use what you’ve learned, this meetup is designed to bridge the gap between studying and real usage.

Meetups are speaking-centered, but may include a mix of:

Guided conversation practice
Speaking prompts and roleplay
Light review activities and games
Short reading or listening exercises to support speaking

If you’ve been studying alone and want a friendly place to practice together, you’re welcome here. Mistakes are expected, normal, and encouraged.

Mistakes are expected and encouraged. You’re welcome to use notes, look things up, or listen more than you speak.

No high-level Japanese required. Just come as you are.
