Ocha Zen is a project dedicated to sharing the beauty and depth of Japanese tea with the world, starting right here in Amsterdam.
Our founder, Mao, lives in Wazuka Town, a historic area in Kyoto known for producing Uji tea. Inspired by her passion to introduce this exceptional tea to people worldwide, she launched this initiative from Amsterdam.
Mao is committed to spreading the rich history, culture, and essence of Japanese tea to a global audience. To bring this vision to life, she has teamed up with a group of young talents living in Amsterdam, creating a vibrant and dynamic team to lead this project.
At Ocha Zen, we source rare Japanese teas directly from small-scale producers in Japan. Each cup of tea tells a story of tradition, craftsmanship, and connection.
