🎋 Tanabata Craft — Make Your Own Japanese Star Festival Decorations
Join us for a magical evening inspired by Tanabata (七夕), Japan’s beloved Star Festival!
Every July 7th, people across Japan write wishes on colorful strips of paper and hang them from bamboo branches beneath the summer stars. In this hands-on workshop, you’ll create your very own Tanabata decorations and write your wish in Japanese — just in time to celebrate at home on the real festival night!
✨ What we’ll do:
• Hear the romantic legend of Orihime and Hikoboshi
• Fold and cut traditional Tanabata decorations
• Write your own wish strip (çŸå†Š tanzaku) in Japanese
• Learn beginner-friendly Japanese words around stars, wishes, and summer
