🧑‍💻 Speakers:
Jürgen Höller is co-founder of the Spring Framework open source project and has been serving as the project lead and release manager for the core framework since 2003. Juergen is an experienced software architect and consultant with outstanding expertise in code organization, transaction management and enterprise messaging.

In November 2025, the seventh generation of Spring kicks off. Designed for JDK 25 and picking up the latest providers such as Hibernate ORM 7 and Jackson 3, the Spring Framework 7.0 release is going to serve as the foundation for the Spring Boot 4.x line. This session presents the transition from Spring Framework 6.2 to 7.0 as a work in progress, illustrating our strategic design decisions for the programming model as well as the infrastructure behind it.
