Kafka&Opensearch @ Willhaben
At Willhaben we rebuilt our "Meine Anzeigen" domain from scratch to match our domain-design we want to implement, and further more upgrade to a more future-proof technology-stack and architecture. In this talk, we present how we leveraged our already existing kafka infrastructure to build an index in AWS opensearch, the challenges we faced during development and how we tackled them.
Matthias has studied computer science at TU Wien and works as a software developer for 8 Years. He joined Willhaben in 2019 and worked there in various projects, with a big focus on restructuring the existing monolithic software into a domain-driven and event-based architecture.
