Exploring Kotlin - A Walkthrough for Developers
Details
Kotlin is quickly becoming one of the favorite JVM-languages among developers. In this meetup, we'll walk you through the language and its features and show you some of the possibilities that Kotlin gives you. We'll explore how Kotlin differs from Java, its core language features, how you can get started and more!
Do you use Lombok? If so, we'll show you code examples showing how Kotlin offers several of Lombok's features. If you are a Java-developer and considering to give Kotlin a try or even implement your next big project on Kotlin, then join us this time!
The meetup is organized in cooperation with Oslo Kotlin Meetup and includes speakers from both communities.
Pizza and drinks are served at 17.00.
Speakers:
Marie Katrine Ekeberg - Oslo Kotlin Meetup
Jarle Hansen - Oslo Kotlin Meetup
Bio
Marie:
Marie Katrine Ekeberg is a software developer and is working at EVRY. She has been interested in software development since her early teens, and with a language like Kotlin that passion won't die anytime soon. Her biggest dream for Kotlin would be to have full intellisense/auto-completion for GNU/Emacs. She is also a co-founder of the Oslo Kotlin Meetup.
Jarle:
Jarle Hansen works for Systek and is currently a developer at Skatteetaten. When starting at Skatteetaten he was introduced to Kotlin, and it was love at first sight. Last year he was part of the group who founded Oslo Kotlin meetup.
