Jetty 12 med Simone Bordet fra Eclipse Jetty Project
Details
ABSTRACT
Eclipse Jetty 12 is the latest version of the open source project created in 1995 by Greg Wilkins. Over the years, it blazed the trail for many technology innovations, such as Jetty Continuations (later standardized as asynchronous Servlet 3.0), non-blocking I/O, WebSocket, HTTP/2 and HTTP/3.
This session will present the major features of Jetty 12, such as
support for Jakarta EE 8, EE 9, EE 10 and EE 11 in the same server,
integration with virtual threads, the Jetty server core APIs, and the
Jetty proxying features.
The Jetty server can be easily embedded in applications with few lines
of code, and it is integrated in Spring Boot.
Applications can also use the Jetty HttpClient, a powerful, scalable
and flexible HTTP client implementation that works with HTTP/1.1,
HTTP/2, HTTP/3 and FastCGI, a perfect fit for scalable microservices.
The session will conclude presenting the future work that will be done
in the Jetty project around the new web technologies and Jakarta EE
developments.
