The Power and Perils of Principles and Patterns - Dr. Venkat Subramaniam
Details

ABSTRACT:
There are so many design principles and design patterns we learn about, apply, and strive to master. Yet, often we suffer from the complexity of code we create. In this presentation we will discuss a few design principles and highlight a few patterns, and discuss the struggles of using these and how to be effective in creating design while treading the prudent use of these highly useful patterns. We will take some examples to discuss the power and the issues of using principles and patterns, and explore ways to create lightweight design.
