There is no easy walk to freedom anywhere, and many of us will have to pass through the valley of the shadow of death again and again before we reach the mountaintop of our desires.
In collaboration with the Mozilla Foundation we are organising a series of hackathons around interactive online video storytelling. Next weekend it's time for the second London edition at the Mozilla office!
Please check for more info and tickets popathon.org/next-events/london-2
I'd be thrilled if you could make it down with your JS hackspertise (other storytelling skills also welcome!). Also feel free to share the event with anyone you think might be interested.
Hope to see you next weekend!
When we decided to build mindmup.com the two main goals were to learn cool stuff and have fun. What went right? What went wrong? What surprised us the most? How do we test, monitor & troubleshoot?
This event is sponsored by Countersoft who will be offering every attendee a free "Gemini Project Tracker Starter License" -- usually costing $1,795!

RSVP at http://apihackathonlondon.eventbrite.com/ Spend a Saturday hacking on the APIs you love. Build an app and demo it in a day. Create a team or code solo. Learn something new. Meet new people. And oh yeah. Eat free food and win prizes. Find a team or go solo, meet new developers and API teams, get coding support, collect swag, build the best thing you can in one day and demo it to the group. It's free and food and drink is provided. We're taking over The Guardian for a full day of API joy. Demos and developer support from: Apigee, Pusher, Vodafone, Pearson, InMobi and Betfair. We'll have some short technical lightning talks in the morning so you can learn about some new APIs and ask questions from the people that build them. If you have an app idea and need a team member, or don't have a team yet but want to join one, we'll have an idea pitch session too. Then go code - any language or platform you want, just use APIs and build something awesome. At the end of the day demo what you built and even win some prizes.
