HackJam - Functional Programming with JavaScript

Details
Hey Hackers,
Join this fun & free HackJam workshop to learn Functional Programming by building your own library in JavaScript!
We will spend the evening coding, fully dedicated to functional programming in JavaScript. As usual, we will prepare a nice coding challenge for you.
During the HackJam we'll take a closer look into:
• Function composition
• Higher order functions
• Code branching
• The “Maybe” operator
• dotChaining
Thanks to DogPatch Labs (http://dogpatchlabs.com/)for hosting this HackJam at their fantastic Urban Garden space.
We have one small request for you; as we're travelling from Belgium to Dublin for this workshop, we are not able to bring extension cords with us (we use other power outlets in Belgium). Someone could bring a few of them for everyone to use? That would be amazing, thanks ahead!
We're still looking for a sponsor for food & drinks for this HackJam. Are you or your company interested in sponsoring catering, or do you know someone who might be? Drop us a line at community@hackages.io! Thanks.
Start of the HackJam evening is at 18.00. End is foreseen at 21.00h.
Some requirements:
-
Bring your own laptop
-
Have a good command in any programming language
We're looking forward to hacking with you!
