Abstract: This talk about building web application for performance. Other than heavily popularized concepts of web performance, this talk will provide detailed insights into hands-on experience of the user across the year.

About the Speaker:

Ravi Hamsa is a self thought Front-End developer/Architect/Mentor, specialized in building Single Page Applications for performance and maintainability. Right now working with LinkedIn, helping LinkedIn Lite to scale up for demanding needs of emerging markets. He has years of experience with Inmobi and Yahoo! under his name, where he built web applications using YUI, Backbone, React etc. He occasionally post of articles on his LinkedIn profile about SPA development.

Topic: Video.js based Web Player performance - talk by Mir Ali

Abstract: The talk focuses on the key metrics to monitor playback performance and how to improve them. We delve on concepts of retries, fast initialisation, single page app experience and bundle splitting to deliver a swift and smooth playback experience on the client side.

About the speaker: Senior Software Engineer with a demonstrated history of working with the latest of Javascript frameworks. Skilled in AngularJS, React, HTML5, CSS3. He is the developer behind the web player on Hotstar. And continues to make improvements to it.
