Talks
Stress-free living through custom elements and scoped CSS — even in React
Geoff Pursell, UX Engineer, Target
Components are foundational to modern development — but what if we told the browser that’s what we’re actually doing? This talk explores how pairing custom elements and attributes with nesting-scoped CSS can eliminate design-heavy logic from React (or other framework) components — allowing the browser to handle more of the work.
Designing the shortest path to production
Zac Skalko, Principal Software Engineer, Cargill
Just like your UI, arch, and infra, the process you take to production needs design. It shapes how and what you ship. While that might sound scary (particularly with agents committing as much as people), the right high-speed rail to prod actually reduces risk.
Getting there
Target Plaza Commons is located on Nicollet Mall with many transit options nearby. There are bike racks along the street. For parking a car, the Hawthorne Ramp or LaSalle at 10th Garage provides skyway access. There are additional ramps and surface lots in the area as well.
